Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar
In August, Habyt Asia Pacific CEO Jonathan Wong indicated that the firm was planning to include more short-term living alternatives to its local lineup. The first real estates under the Habyt Flex concept are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both started in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen Property by Habyt.

Wong states Habyt Kada at Maxwell represents the company’s promise to redefining versatile living in Singapore and marks its change towards the next step of growth for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room prices at Kada at Maxwell is going to start at $180 per night.

Kada at Maxwell will use a variety of rooms, including en suite studios and two- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a completely installed kitchen space. Visitors can book spaces on a nightly or every week basis, with a 12-month choice also offered.
The adaptable home is located throughout a preserved 1920s colonial building. The three-storey structure, designed by the architectural firm Swan & Maclaren, was among the earliest modernist buildings in Singapore. It was built to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.
Habyt has recently introduced a new accomodation area at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the flagship spot for the operator’s Habyt Flex design, which offers a strategic broadening of the firm’s product offerings beyond extensive co-living.
A public tender to lease the property, now handled by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was introduced in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based on the bid price and the quality of the proposed concept, and SLA encouraged bidders to consider inspired way of living concepts.
