Hyatt Hotels to open nearly 90 new luxury and lifestyle hotels across Asia Pacific

Hyatt Hotels Firm has announced its deals to increase the firm’s luxury and lifestyle company portfolios throughout Asia Pacific. Over the next five years, Hyatt intends to establish roughly 90 properties, that include the launch of the Thompson Hotels brand name in the area.

Complying with Hyatt’s purchase of Standard International in 2024, the group will also present The Standard, Pattaya Na Jomtien. The hotel is set to establish in 3Q2025, and will feature a 60s-inspired beach club visual.

Ever since 2017, the group has also increased the number of luxury suites, tripled its resort rooms, and expanded its lifestyle rooms five-fold internationally. Carina Chorengel, senior vice president of commercial properties in Asia Pacific at Hyatt, notes that luxury today focuses on providing authentic and distinct experiences. “Our recently refined brand design and extension in deluxe and lifestyle portfolios permit us to satisfy discerning travelers with emphasis and differentiation.”

This is expected to come together with substantial brand-new entries and growth for Andaz, The Standard and Park Hyatt labels across primary locations including Thailand, Malaysia and Australia.

The Thompson Hotels brand name, which originated in Manhattan, is expected to make its Asia Pacific debut with Thomspon Shanghai Expo, which is booked to open in 4Q2025.
